These resources present an overview of the provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights, the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights, and the Rules of Court in relation to requests for interim measures, pursuant to Rule 39 of the Rules of Court. Interim measures are urgent measures, which the ECtHR may require of the Respondent Government and/or the applicant(s), where there is an imminent risk of irreparable harm.
