Yezidis turn to European Court to resolve citizenship issues
For a number of years EHRAC and Memorial have been concerned with the situation of the approximately 2000 Yezidis living in southern Russia. Since their relocation to the Krasnodar region following an earthquake in 1988, the community has experienced widespread discrimination by the authorities, including the unlawful denial of citizenship and its attendant rights.
