Recent activities of the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights in the South Caucasus


In this article, the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights outlines his recent activities in Azerbaijan and Georgia. The report on the former of these focuses on freedom of expression and association, the conduct of law enforcement officials and the administration of justice. Meanwhile the report on Georgia concentrates on investigations into cases of missing persons during and after the August 2008 armed conflict in the region.
