Protocol 12 to the European Convention
Protocol 12 to the European Convention, which entered into force on 1 April 2005, provides a general prohibition of discrimination, thereby going beyond Article 14 of the Convention. Whilst it has been signed by the Russian Federation, the state has yet to ratify the Protocol.
