PACE resolution on Chechnya


In its resolution of 7 October 2004, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe once again condemned all human rights violations occurring in the Chechen Republic, including murder, torture, forced disappearance and arbitrary detention. It particularly condemned the recent downing of two airliners and the Beslan hostage crisis, noting that the human rights situation has seen little improvement since early 2003.
