Taking the implementation of ECtHR judgements seriously: right assessment, wrong approaches?


The issue of implementation of judgements continues to pose significant problems for the ECtHR. In attempting to streamline its supervision process, the Court has given priority to pilot judgements, inter-state cases, and other complex structural problems which may give rise to numerous repetitive cases.
