PACE resolution on Chechnya
In a resolution adopted on 26 January 2006, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe stated that Chechnya was the most serious human rights issue in any of the Council of Europe’s member states. Yet a fair number of governments, member states, and the Committee of Ministers of Europe had failed to address the massive human rights violations in a regular, serious and intensive manner.
