Implementation of ECtHR judgements in Chechen cases


In July 2005 the ECtHR judgements in the first six cases concerning Russian security forces actions in Chechnya became final and the Russian Government was bound to execute them. However, in two memoranda lodged in September 2008, the applicants, EHRAC and Memorial asserted that Russia has yet to comply with this obligation.
